Our health and safety program starts with simple, basic items, gloves, wet floor sign, safety shoes, safety glass etc. These are items that our workers can easily connect with in their daily activities. We educate and train our staff as to the importance of good health and safety practices, for themselves, their collegue, the people we serve and the wider society.
Our program also involves regular in-depth audits of our Health and Safety procedures and policies including risk assessments to ensure that we meet current legislation in all areas of our cleaning operation.
We always inform and adapt ourselves to the Health and Safety policies and particularies of each client/site
Health and safety are actively managed and monitored at all levels. Management provides the training and the tools and seek to have compliance. We expect all employees to recognize and accept their individual responsibilities in promoting a safe and health working environment.
Our group health and safety committee meets and regularly reviews best practice polices and compliance with Canadian law.This team conducts audits on systems and procedures and conducts accident investigation and reporting in accordance with the Workplace Safety Insurance Board of Ontario. (WSIB)
Training is carried out to ensure that service delivery is provided by competent employees and typically includes:
- Extensive safety and liability audits at job start-up
- Internal/external policies to ensure compliance with specifications
- Site-specific training for work crews
- WHMIS training (reviewed annually)
- Detailed procedures for swift emergency response
- On-site Tool Box orientation sessions to review facility hazards
- Multi-language tools to ensure consistency
